The Things I Take For Granted ...

No, it's not just that this man is so handsome (and, I'm told, very funny).

I take for granted how much he loves my family, and that he's comfortable telling them that. A post online today made me realize this, and it was a perfect day for this to come to my attention!

It just so happens that my husband spent the day with my parents - without me! He went this morning to buy a computer monitor with my dad. They went to breakfast together. Also, Chris just got a new "toy" and they are, as we speak, at the gun range together. He spent time with my mother this afternoon while my dad dug out his "toys."

He loves my brother and sister like they were his own siblings. He has, after all, known them since they were 10 and 12 respectively. He watched them grow up.

Now, when I hear my husband tell one of my family members how he feels about them, I'll take the opportunity to appreciate and love him just a little bit more.

Monday, Monday, Monday

It most certainly is. My to-do list is about 45 items long, most of them urgent. I got 1 ½ done today. SIGH.

So instead of bitching about how stressful today has been, I'm going to recall my super fun weekend! At some point Friday, Joyce played a fun word on Words with Friends. I'm 12 years old and giggled my butt off ... enough that I took a screen shot that I've been dying to share with someone!

Quinn went chasing after some raccoons in my parents' yard. Apparently, he got pretty darn close:
(Is it weird that I'm proud?)

Friday night, we played Taboo at Julie's house for her birthday. I am MUCH better at Taboo than I am at pictionary. And thank goodness ... the last time we played pictionary, I drew a shark and no one could tell what it was.

Saturday morning, we had brunch at Cypress Grill for Julie's birthday.

Sunday afternoon, Mom and I were supposed to be cleaning of their boat to get it ready to sell. We accidentally had margaritas instead!

Later Saturday afternoon, we took Quinn to the Spring Rescue Rally at the Hill Country Galleria. So much fun! I love being around so many rescued dogs.

Saturday night ... more celebrating Julie's birthday! We had sushi for dinner, and went to Doc's for a few more drinks afterwords. Julie did a fabulous job of keeping me entertained on her birthday!

Then Sunday kicked in ... my back is hurting so bad I can't do anything and I was lonely without Chris in town. So anyways ... that's where the fun stopped and I'm not going to start in on the bitching, because that gets me no where.

Hey hey hey! I'm feeling energetic. Energetic enough to blog! I have been working for my money lately. I'm not complaining, I love the challenge, but it does keep me from internet-ing as often as I used to.

I had a pretty awesome birthday!! It *SNOWED* real snow in Austin, Texas on MY birthday! It was pretty awesome. Did I already say awesome?

Here's a video ... I'm not sure if it's going to work:

I got into a fender bender and my poor car isn't drivable :-( The guy's insurance took two weeks just to get someone on the phone! In the mean time, I've had to drive Chris's car, which is not as much fun as it sounds. Mostly it's just a lot of work and very stressful. I will definitely appreciate my car and never complain about it again when I get it back! Maybe ... enough to name her (see where I went there? I like my car enough to assign her a gender)?

You'd think such a powerful (i.e. very loud engined) car would be male. However, no ... she's definitely female. Aaaaah, I cannot wait to drive an automatic again! And I can't wait to be able to take my dogs somewhere. I can't wait to not have to worry about my jeans staining the white leather in Chris's car. I just can't wait!

I've had Bandit for FOUR YEARS as of March 3! I cannot believe it. I am so in love with that dog. So much so ... I realized that he was sitting on the sofa and I was sitting on the floor. What's up with that?
